Looking for a cozy way to enjoy spirulina powder? This vegan spirulina latte combines Niva Organic Spirulina Powder with warming cinnamon and vanilla, whisked into creamy steamed oat milk. The result is a vibrant blue-green drink that’s simple to make and perfect for a cozy morning or afternoon pick-me-up.
This recipe makes 1 serving and takes about 5 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 cup oat milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/2 teaspoon Niva Organic Spirulina Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for dusting
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Warm the milk. Heat the oat milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until steaming (do not boil).
- Whisk in the spirulina. Add the spirulina powder, cinnamon, maple syrup, and vanilla, whisking constantly until fully dissolved and no clumps remain.
- Froth. Use a milk frother or whisk vigorously for 30 seconds to build a light foam.
- Pour and dust. Pour into a mug and finish with a dusting of ground cinnamon on top.
- Serve. Enjoy immediately while warm, or pour over ice for a cold version.
Tip: Whisk the spirulina into a small splash of warm milk first to form a smooth paste before adding the rest of the milk — this stops any clumping and keeps the color vivid.
